Seeing is believing – and when it comes to robotic joining process data, it’s also understanding. That’s RoboLive®’s Process Visualization and data aggregation have made it an industry leading solution for robotic data transparency. RoboLive® offers a variety of ways to visually interact with your robotic data: in 3D on CAD models of your products, in a searchable Parameter Table, or as customizable tooltips in the visualization. This data—position, parameter, process ID, and more direct from your robots—is key to understanding what the current status of your factory.
But while RoboLive® processes all information from your production robots, there is an additional layer of information going unseen: the data from the weld controller. This includes a host of weld-specific data: force, timing, current, and more. Traditionally, this information is even more difficult to access than standard process data, despite being just as critical to production quality.

RoboLive®’s newest add-on – the Weld Controller Interface—provides a dynamic solution to this challenge. The Weld Controller Interface works with the Weld PC to extract data from the weld controller and integrate it right alongside the rest of your process data in RoboLive®. The data can then be searched, filtered or sorted in the parameter table, or interacted with in 3D space as Selection Labels.
As with the rest of the information presented in RoboLive®, having easy access to specifics about your welds is a transformative advantage for production quality and maintenance. Weld controller data is traditionally difficult to access and interpret, with no way to visualize the data or track changes. In the event of an issue, RCA is a costly process that involves stopping production to search through complicated (and often outdated) documentation. RoboLive® is the first digital solution to offer a look into this critical data. The Weld Timer Interface requires no manual effort to keep track of even the most complex data, and all changes can be visualized in the Process Visualization window with changes shown in the Timeline.
The new Weld Controller Interface add-on isn’t the only way RoboLive® is transforming the digital landscape of modern factories. RoboLive® is available with a full suite of add-ons that offer new ways to view, understand, and analyze data generated by production robots. Additional features allow for adaptation of persisting robot paths to new conditions, automatic correction of bad base frames, or automatic generation of technical manuals.
RoboLive®’s Weld Controller Interface add-on is being integrated into installations for select clients now, and trial pilots are available for first-time clients.
